Story

44 Cats is an Italian preschool animated television series, originally called 44 Gatti. The series follows the adventures of four kittens, Lamp, Milady, Pitou and Meatball, who make up a musical group called the Buffycats.
The series was inspired by a song from the 1968 Zecchino d’Oro competition called “Quarantaquattro gatti” (44 Gatti).

Lampo: The main protagonist of the show, he is a tabby cat with a lightning bolt tattooed over his right eye. He is the lead singer and guitar player of the Buffycats.
Milady: She is the bass player of the Buffycats.
Meatball: He's plays the keyboard for the band. He's always hungry.
Pilou: She's the drummer of the band. She has big wide eyes.
Granny Pina: She is the cats' owner. She feeds the cats pasta that gives them magical powers.
Winston: Granny Pina's neighbour, a rich man who strongly dislikes the Buffycats.
Isotta: Granny Pina's granddaughter, who can understand the Buffycats.
Boss: He's Winston's cat, who bullies the Buffycats.
The Pinky Paws: A group of musical cats, that all have pink fur.
Milky and Choc: Twin cats that perform in the circus.
Olympio: A teal cat who's so good at basketball, he's never dropped the ball once in his entire life.
