“Cathy Quest” is a Russian 2D cartoon from 2020, about the fascinating adventures of the girl named Katya and her best friend, creature EF.
In the first series, the main characters set off on a journey through the magical portal Wherever-Going Door, discovering new worlds and coming to aquariums, bakeries, factories and other places where it is often not so easy to penetrate even for the adults. Katya and EF are not only waiting for the adventurous travelling, but they are also interested in different devices, mechanisms and enterprises – how they work and are managed. They will find answers to the multitude of questions they have always asked themselves: Where do muffins come from? How can submarines stay underwater for so long?
In the second season Katya and EF travel to different countries in the world. They meet local children and learn everything about traditions and cultures, local hobbies. They admire the natural beauty of the different places, visit cultural highlights, try different sports and cook delicious meals.
In 2020 “Cathy Quest” won the Diploma for the best series at the Russian Animation Festival in Suzdal.
