Story
The Clangers are small mouse-like beings who live in space on a small planet resembling our moon. They all live in peace and harmony and communicate with each other through whistles. They only eat blue string pudding and green soup, which is provided by the Soup Dragon. In every episode, the Clangers need to solve some kind of problem, deal with a discovery or get to know a new visitor. Music plays an important role in this simple yet amusing stop-motion animated series.
Who are the main characters of Clangers?
Granny Clanger: An old Clanger who often falls asleep during her favorite passtime, knitting. She is Major Clanger's mother.
Major Clanger: The head of the Clanger family. He's a grumpy creature who wears brass armour.
Mother Clanger: She is Major Clanger's wife and mother of Tiny and Small Clanger. She loves gardening, but her main task is preparing and dispensing the soup.
Small Clanger: The most adventurous and curious of the Clangers. He makes all sorts of inventions that don't always turn out to be so handy.
Tiny Clanger: She is Small Clanger's little sister, a kind and gentle creature.
The Soup Dragon: A large, green creature who loves Green Soup and who lives in the soup wells inside the Clanger's planet.
Froglets: Three small, orange aliens who travel around space in a top hat.
The Cloud: A cloud that floats over the Clanger's planet and that releases musical raindrops.
The Glow Buzzers: These creatures resemble light-bulbs, and live in hives around the Clangers' caves.
The Iron Chicken: A metallic chicken, made from scrap elements.
