“Hamster & Gretel” is an American animated series that premiered in August 2022. It was created by Dan Povenmire, the creator of the hit-series “Phineas and Ferb” and co-creator of “Milo Murphy’s Law”.
When Kevin’s van breaks down in the middle of nowhere while driving his sister to soccer practice, the pair are visited by aliens who tell them they were chosen to receive superpowers. But something goes terribly wrong, because Gretel and her pet Hamster become superheroes instead of Kevin and his sister! They receive the power of flying, the power of super strength, super speed and she can punch her way through anything ! Hamster and Gretel have to use their powers wisely and for the good of humanity. Although Kevin isn’t a superhero, he is very protective and intelligent. He works with Gretel and Hamster to protect them and the city from villains and danger.
The show is set in the same universe as the other two shows created by Dan Povenmire, with characters from those shows making cameos in “Hamster & Gretel”.

Who are the main characters of Hamster & Gretel?
Gretel Grant-Gomez: the protagonist of the show, an excitable girl who obtains superpowers from aliens. Unfortunately, she uses brute force instead of being gentle and causes problems to get worse.
Kevin Grant-Gomez: Gretel's older brother, a 16-year-old boy. He doesn't have any superpowers, but he's quick-thinking and has great problem-solving skills. He supports Hamster and Gretel the best he can and acts as the team's brains.
Hamster: Gretel's pet hamster, who also receives superpowers. He can also speak.
Winifred "Fred" Grant: Kevin and Gretel's cousin, a sarcastic and cynical girl who is very good with modern technology. She's the team's tech support.
Dave Grant-Gomez: Kevin and Gretel's father, he's a building manager.
Carolina Grant-Gomez: Kevin and Gretel's mother, a nurse.
Bailey Carter: Gretel's best friend. She is the greatest fan of Super Gretel.
Nordie: a boy in Gretel's class and the son of the villain Professor Exclamation.
Hiromi Tanaka: Kevin's crush, a girl who works at the comic book store.
Professor Exclamation: a supervillain who wants to control the world.
