Story
“JoNaLu” is a highly innovative preschool show that achieves record-braking ratings on ZDF and KiKA in Germany and has won a number of international awards. The intention of the lovingly created animated series is to promote the language skills of preschool children as well as their motors skills.
Our three little friends, two mice Jo and Naya and the ladybug Ludwig live under the bed of preschooler Paul. As soon as Paul is gone for the day, they experience adventures inside the house and out in the garden. They encounter animals speaking different languages – amongst others, a Russian speaking mole, a Turkish speaking butterfly or an English speaking spider. Combining all their strengths and with support from the audience, our heroes always successfully beat the odds and manage to come out on top. Songs, rhymes and dances guarantee the interaction with the young audience and get them moving.

Who are the main characters of JoNaLu?
Jo: one of the protagonists of the show, a lively mouse-boy who is always looking for new challenges.
Naya: the second main character of the show, an energetic mouse girl who loves to chat with others.
Ludwig: a cheerful and naive ladybug who has a weakness for food.
Caruso: an Italian-speaking frog, a spirited creature and a great singer.
Scottie: an English spider who is unbeatable at throwing a lasso. She sometimes rescues JoNaLu from dangerous situations.
Penelope: a wise turtle who speaks every language and who always knows what to do in difficult situations.
Sibel: a Turkish-speaking butterfly-girl who loves painting and every way of flying.
Nicolaj: a Russian mole who loves to sleep, but who's always there to help if someone needs him.
Minou: a French-speaking firefly, a tiny but very courageous bug.
Carmen: a Spanish dormouse who loves laughing, dancing and eating. She's very knowledgeable about "human stuff".
