Story
The American animated series “My Life as a Teenage Robot” follows the adventures of Jenny Wakeman (aka XJ-9), a highly advanced robot created by her mother Dr. Nora Wakeman to protect the world. Despite being a state-of-the-art crime-fighting robot, Jenny is also imbued with the personality and desires of a normal teenager.
Jenny’s primary function is protecting the Earth from disasters and threats, but she would much rather spend her time experiencing typical teenage life – going to high school, hanging out with her friends Brad and Tuck Carbunkle, and trying to be popular among her peers.
This often leads to her neglecting her duties as a robot superhero, allowing minor issues to escalate into major global crises that she ultimately has to resolve.
The main conflicts arise from Jenny facing off against a variety of villains bent on causing chaos, like the robotic Cluster civilization led by Vexus who wants to take over Earth, or the mischievous Space Bikers. She also has to deal with more mundane struggles like the mean girls at school who threaten her social standing.
Despite the dangers, Jenny is equipped with a wide array of powerful robotic abilities that allow her to save the day, even if it’s usually at the last possible moment after procrastinating on her responsibilities

Who are the main characters of My Life as a Teenage Robot?
Jenny Wakeman: also known as XJ-9, Jenny is the main protagonist, a state-of-the-art robot created by her mother Dr. Nora Wakeman to protect Earth. Despite being designed as a highly advanced crime-fighting robot, Jenny desires to live like a normal teenager - going to school, making friends, and being popular. Her primary conflict is balancing her duties as a planet-protecting robot with her desire for a normal teenage life.
Dr. Nora Wakeman: Jenny's creator and mother figure. She tries to keep Jenny focused on her world-protecting duties rather than acting like a normal teenager.
Brad Carbunkle: One of Jenny's best friends, Brad is a typical teenage boy who helps Jenny experience aspects of normal teenage life. He often gets caught up in Jenny's adventures and misadventures.
Tuck Carbunkle: Brad's younger brother and Jenny's other best friend. Tuck is more eccentric and enthusiastic about Jenny being a robot than Brad
Sheldon Lee: A robotic engineering prodigy who has an unrequited crush on Jenny. He frequently builds gadgets and modifications for Jenny, and even has his own robot superhero alter-ego called The Silver Shell. Jenny sees him strictly as a friend.
Vexus: the main villain of the series, the leaser of the Cluster robot civilization.
