Story
Ni Hao,Kai-Lan is an interactive animated series about a 4-year-old Chinese American girl, based on the childhood memories of creator Karen Chau. The series introduces young viewers to Mandarin Chinese by repeating simple words and phrases in each episode, as well as elements of the Chinese culture and values. Kai-Lan lives in a bicultural intergenerational family, which can sometimes lead to extra stress and pressure. But together with her friends Rintoo the tiger and Tolee, the koala and others, Kai-Lan manages to sail around the obstacles in her life. The audience is asked to help Kai-Lan solve riddles and join in games.
