Story
Pokémon is centered on fictional creatures called “Pokémon”, or Pocket Monsters, which humans, known as Pokémon Trainers, catch and train to battle each other for sport. A Trainer who finds a wild Pokémon can capture that Pokémon by throwing a special spherical tool called a Poké Ball at it. If the Pokémon cannot escape the Poké Ball, it falls under the ownership of that Trainer. It will then obey whatever commands it receives from him, unless the Trainer is badly unexperienced and the Pokémon decides to act on its own accord. Trainers can send out any of their Pokémon to fight non-lethal battles against other Pokémon. If the opposing Pokémon is wild, the Trainer can catch it with a Poké Ball, thus increasing their collection of creatures.
