Story

After the succes of the PAW Patrol franchise, it was decided to put one of the show’s characters in the spotlight and make a new animated series about it. The choice fell on the bulldog Rubble, and the Canadian TV show “Rubble & Crew” was launched early 2023.

In “Rubble & Crew”, Rubble relocates to Builder Cove, which is a neighbouring town to Adventure Bay, where the PAW Patrol adventures take place. In this lovely little town, a lot of works needs to be done, and Rubble and his team are just what the town needs! With the help of high-powered vehicles and construction tools, Rubble and the other puppies build and rebuild bridges, buildings, trains stations and airports to make Builder Cove a safe place. They always ensure quality and efficiency.

Once in a while, the protagonist of PAW Patrol, Ryder, comes over from Adventure Bay to help the puppies out. Especially when the team needs to deal with Speed Meister, Rubble’s rival. Speed Meister and his pet turtle Mr. Mc Turtle are the worst kind of construction workers. They work too fast and rush through the various building stages, without taking any safety regulations into account and deliver unsafe buildings.

The main themes of “Rubble & Crew” are teamwork, the importance of safety regulations and organizational skills, and the need to be a good neighbor. Rubble, Mix, Charger, Wheeler and Motor are all brave puppies who will always come and help a neighbor in need.

Who are the main characters of Rubble & Crew?

Rubble: an energetic bulldog who is the founder and leader of Rubble & Crew, a construction company. He drives a bulldozer.
Grandpa Gravel: Rubble's grandfather, who owns a food truck that makes kibble.
Auntie Crane: Rubble's aunt, who operates the supply warehouse where Rubble comes and gets his materials. She can use a forklift.
Mix: Rubble's cousin. He drives a cement truck and takes care of mixing things like concrete, glue, paint and cement.
Charger: Rubble's cousin, who drives a crane. He's got a prosthetic back leg, but that doesn't slow him down! He handles all the digging work.
Motor: another one of Rubble's cousins, she's Auntie Crane's youngest daughter. She operates a wrecking ball crane and a road roller.
Wheeler: the only dog in the crew who isn't a bulldog. Wheeler is a Swiss hound, who is obsessed with cleanliness. He also takes care of anything that needs to be put together with nuts and bolts. He drives a dump truck.
Speed Meister: the main antagonist of the show. He is Rubble's rival and doesn't care about safety rules.
Mr. McTurtle: Speed Meister sidekick, a pet turtle.
