Story

A girl named Fuu is employed in a tea shop as a waitress when she is abused by a group of samurai. She is rescued by a mysterious rogue who goes by the name of Mugen and a young rōnin, a wandering samurai, called Jin. At one point the two men begin fighting each another and hereby cause the death of Shibui Tomonoshina, the magistrate’s son. For this crime, Mugen and Jin are sentenced to death. With help from Fuu, they escape their execution. In return, Fuu asks both men to accompany her on her search for “the samurai who smells of sunflowers”.
