Adora and her best friend Catra are two orphans who are being raised to become soldiers in the Horde, an evil army led by Hordak. This tyrant wants to conquer the whole planet of Etheria. One day Adora finds a magic sword in the woods. When holding it, she is transformed into She-Ra, the legendary Princess of Power. Adora now understands that the Horde is evil and she joins the rebellion to fight back against Hordak. She rebuilds the Princess Alliance with the help of other magical girls. Unfortunately, her best friend Catra is not following and feels betrayed by Adora. The two young women become sworn enemies.
