Story
“Super Wish” is a Canadian 2D animated series that premiered in 2022. It was produced by Nelvana and Redknot. The show is aimed at children between 4 and 8 years old.
It tells the story of 10-year-old Jesse, who celebrates his 10th birthday and is expecting a “Go-Kart Laser Tag Birthday Blowout Extravaganza”. But it turns out completely differently, when he accidentally uses his super special 10th birthday wish to wish his entire birthday party to disappear … And to his surprise it does, sending everyone through a mysterious portal! Now Jess and his birthday guests Winnie, Sadie and Xander must venture through a magical realm known as The Happy Land of Birthdays to track down and un-do his Super Wish in order to get back home. As they encounter wondrous characters and action-packed adventures, Jesse and his friends rediscover the magic of birthdays and just how great it is to be a kid!
In The Happy Land of Birthdays, we learn about how different cultures from all around the world celebrate birthdays. Some will be familiar, like candles on a birthday cake or children trying to hit a piñata, but other elements might be new and unexpected. While searching for the Super Wish, the children must also face Balloonicus, an evil balloon who wishes to put an end to all birthdays!
