Story
“The Adventures of Bernie” is a French animated series, created in 2021 by Xilam Animation as a spin-off to their hit show “Zig and Sharko”.
The show follows the adventures of Bernie the hermit crab, who is Zig’s best friend in the original series.
After a sabotage by Sharko, Bernie is being blasted far away into the ocean by the cannon that was supposed to help Zig capture and eat Marina the mermaid. Bernie is kept on being pushed further and further away from his beloved island by a whale, a pair of playful dolphins, a tanker ship… He is now lost at the bottom of the ocean with no immediate possibility to make it back. So after this failed attempt to help his best friend, Bernie now finds himself in a new and hostile environment, where our genius tinkerer has to come up with the craziest inventions and stratagems to get back to his home island and find Zig… But his new neighbours, who are as clumsy as they are nuts, don’t make it easy for him! They keep on interfering with his plans, but he keeps on trying to be reunited with his bestie.
