Story
The Backyardigans are a group of five anthropomorphic friends, who use their vast imagination to go on fantastic adventures in their backyards. Music plays a central role in this series, as each episode is set to a different musical genre, like reggae, country music or rock. Pablo, Tyrone, Uniqua, Tasha and Austin have obstacles to defeat or problems to solve.

Tasha: She's a yellow hippopotamus. She's strong willed and always tries to get her own way.
Pablo: A friendly blue penguin, who tends to overreact and goes into panic mode.
Tyrone: He's an orange moose with purple hair. He is very cool and laid-back.
Austin: A purple kangaroo, he's very smart and has great imagination.
Uniqua: A pink-dotted creature. She's very funny and makes the others laugh.
Sherman: He's a yellow worm with orange spots. He is easily scared because he's so small.
The Wormans: A kind of worm-like creatures who squeak and talk gibberish.
Dragon: A green dragon who's very friendly.
The Giant Clam: This clam is always hungry and irritable.
