“The Beachbuds” is an Indonesian animated series that premiered in 2021. The show is aimed at children from 6 to 11 years old.
The series is set in the tropical island paradise of Zoobak Resort, a luxurious place and the home of world-class hospitality, resembling the Indonesian island of Bali. We meet a bunch of anthropomorphic funny feathered friends, who are based on the rare Balinese white and blue starling bird. “The Beachbuds” sole mission is to serve the guests at the resort and make them feel at home. When they’re not busy giving their guests the best time of their lives, the birds get into crazy adventures. “The Beachbuds” entertains kids while teaching about harmony, hospitality and humor.
With this series, the creators of the show wanted to put the spotlight on the richness and the diversity of the Indonesian and Balinese culture in particular.
