Story

All the Smurfs almost look the same : they are almost all male, except for Smurfette, Sassetten and Nanny Smurf. They are short, blue creatures with white trousers and a white hat. Their individual accessories help identify the different Smurfs, like Baker Smurf or Carpenter Smurf. Their leader is the old and wise Papa Smurf, the only Smurf who wears red trousers. The Smurfs have a funny language, where they would replace nouns and verbs by the word “smurf”. The verb “to smurf” means “to make”, “to do” or “to be”. The Smurfs live in mushroom-houses deep in the forest, where they live in harmony with nature and are able to communicate with the animals. Their enemy is the sorcerer Gargamel, who would do anything to get his hands on the Smurfs. He is aided by his cat Azrael.
