As a young mandrill, Rafiki was fascinated by the African lands and decided to study them. He eventually stumbled upon the Pride Lands, where he was attacked by a young Shenzi, Banzai, and Ed. The mandrill was saved by Ahadi, the then-ruler of the Pride Lands and father of Mufasa and Scar (then known as Taka).
Eventually taking residence in the vast lands, Rafiki would soon become close companions with Mufasa and one day overheard Taka’s plot to sabotage his brother’s reputation. -
Rajah from Aladdin

Rajah is a fierce and loyal tiger who will do anything to protect his best friend, Jasmine. He first meets Aladdin when the street urchin tries to sneak into the palace to see the beautiful princess. Rajah doesn’t like him and growls at him, but Jasmine tells him to be nice. Later, when the arrogant Prince Achmed comes to court Jasmine, Rajah attacks him and rips his pants, even though Jasmine insists that Rajah was just trying to “play” with Achmed. He is seen later chewing on a piece of Achmed’s underwear.

Raksha is the definition of a mother’s love. She takes in Mowgli as her own and makes sure he is always safe. Rama is a fierce and loving father, teaching Mowgli the ways of the jungle and how to survive. Though he is not blood-related to Mowgli, he loves him as if he were his own son.

Randall Boggs is a kind, timid teenage monster who becomes friends with Mike in Monsters University. Randall admires Mike’s confidence and is originally discouraged of his camouflage ability, thinking it would make him a joke until Mike compliments his ability, saying he had to use it. Though Mike’s suggestion of not using his glasses to become completely invisible led to Randall’s constant squint.

At one point, Ray meets and falls in love with a star, which he names Evangeline; he sees her as a goddess and becomes very attached to her. Although it seems that Evangeline is nothing more than a star, fireflies are revealed to be stars once they die, strongly hinting that Evangeline was once a real firefly who eventually died.

He is first seen when Buster sends Scamp to get a tin can from Reggie’s alley, in order to prove himself worthy of becoming a junkyard dog. Reggie is asleep with the can under his paw. Scamp manages to steal it, but he walks into a trash can on his way out, accidentally awakening Reggie, who charges at him. He then breaks out of the alley, chases the other junkyard dogs, then goes after Scamp and Angel.

In The Princess and the Frog, Reggie is the leader of the trio. He’s short in stature, but he’s a commanding force. He’s often seen berating and abusing his two sons throughout their scene. He also appears to be the most malicious, as he clearly takes pride in hunting animals and openly gloats his victories. He speaks with a thick southern accent, and his tone ranges from high pitch to low and brooding, depending on his mood and the situation.

Rejean only appears in Duke Caboom’s tragic flashback during Boxing Day. In the flashback, Rejean is seen trying to imitate what the person does in the commercial for Duke Caboom. However, the task he does for Duke was unsuccessful, causing him to feel angered that his Duke Caboom toy was defective. This causes Rejean to be unhappy about the toy he received.

Remy is a rat who loves food and its quality. He befriends a spectral representation of his hero, the late Auguste Gusteau. Remy’s gift with food allows him to identify the different ingredients in a dish. He also has an interest in humans, due to how they prepare food in such an exquisite manner, and soon becomes quite close to one particular human, Alfredo Linguini, who affectionately calls him “Little Chef.” Towards the fact that he is not really a typical rat, this concerns his father excessively, and always ends up in an argument with him to do with his ways.
