Leah is lucky enough to be friends with a pair of twin genie sisters, Shimmer and Shine. Every day, the twins grant Leah three wishes. Unfortunately, the genie sisters often make mistakes, and Leah has to resolve the problems they cause, while trying to keep Shimmer and Shine a secret from her neighbour and best friend Zac. Eventually Zac gets his own genie, Kaz.
