Caligari Films was founded in 1986 by Gabriele M. Walther and has since then become one of the leading independent production companies in Germany. The company introduced the sitcom genre to the German market and produced numerous sitcom series for RTL. With the animated series “The Nimbols”, Caligari was the first company in Germany to produce a major CGI series and thus entered the international animation business. Following this, Caligari acquired the rights to many well-known brands such as “Coconut the Little Dragon”, “Letters from Felix”, “Knight Rusty” and “Princess Lillifee” and became market leader in the animation segment. Caligari’s animation productions include 10 feature films and more than 350 tv episodes. The company has won numerous awards.
