Ariel is the seventh and youngest daughter of King Triton and Queen Athena. Her best friend is Flounder the fish. She is always closely followed by Sebastian, King Triton’s advisor, who is supposed to keep an eye on Ariel and especially keep her out of trouble. Ariel is fascinated about the human world and incredibly curious. Ariel behaves like a real rebellious teenager, wandering off on her own to explore the ocean and disobeying her father. She eventually falls in love with the human Prince Eric, even giving up her voice to become human.
