“Bobo” is an animated series based on the picture books by Markus Osterwalder’s. These books have sold over a million copies in Germany and all over the world. After more than 20 years and ever new editions, one can certainly speak of a modern children’s book classic. Bobo is now being brought back to life in the animated TV series. The stories tell everyday adventures – sensitive, insightful and very emotional. The exploration of the immediate “world” and the experiences Bobo that has, are accompanied by many visual effects and child-friendly slapstick. Mothers, fathers and the little children – they all love Bobo’s ever cheerful and funny everyday adventures. The likeable Bobo is fascinated and enthusiastic about his immediate surroundings.
From the first blink of an eye until bedtime, Bobo discovers his world. He goes shopping with mummy or takes a trip to grandma’s house. The first visit to the doctor, flying a kite with daddy as well as the first attempts with a running bike are part of Bobo’s everyday life – just as they are for all small children.

Who are the main characters of Bobo?
Bobo: this little dormouse is always in a good mood. He's cute, friendly, very curious and trusting, and is always up for new discoveries.
Mama: she's Bobo's mother, a loving, very patient, emotional person. She works from home as a translator.
Dad: he's Bobo's father, a very relaxed man who's a great dad. He commutes to the city centre for work, but when he gets home he spends a lot of time with Bobo.
Granny and Grandpa Dormouse: Bobo's grandparents, who live in the countryside. When Bobo comes for a visit, he loves exploring the country life with all its animals, forests and meadows.
Hedi and Luis: they are Bobo's two best friends. Together, they have lots of fun and make each other laugh all the time.
Cousin Nora: Bobo's cousin is only a little bit younger than him, so they can still play all the children's games together when she comes to visit. They know each other very well and have a great time together.
