Story
Candice White Ardley, nicknamed Candy, is an abandoned orphan who spends the first years of her life at the Pony’s Home orphanage in North America. At the age of 12, she was adopted by the Leagan family, but they treated her more like a servant girl than a daughter. She was later rescued from the family by a certain William Ardlay, the heir of a vast fortune, who became her tutor but who she would only meet at adulthood. She was sent to the prestigious St. Paul’s College in London, before embarking on a journey to the United States. Later on in the series, Candy meets her one true love, who turns out to be someone she met as a child. The animated series “Candy Candy” has been the favourite of many girls in the late ’70s, and is rich with drama, adventure and romance.
