Dead End Paranormal Park

“Dead End Paranormal Park is an American animated series that premiered on Netflix in June 2022. It follows the adventures of Barney Guttman, the main protagonist. Barney is a gay transgender teenager who starts working as a security guard at Phoenix Parks. Unfortunately, Barney’s grandmother doesn’t accept his transgender identity, which leads to hurtful words being exchanged between the two. His parents, on the other hand, are accepting of his identity, but do nothing to stop his grandmother from verbally abusing him.

To escape his family problems, Barney moves into the Haunted House attraction at Phoenix Parks with his dog, Pugsley. On the same day, Norma Khan starts her new job as part of the security team. Norma is a 17-year-old autistic Pakistani-American girl who is obsessed with the park’s founder, Pauline Phoenix. She is socially anxious and often has panic attacks when overwhelmed.

One day, while exploring the Haunted House attraction, Barney and Norma meet Courtney, who turns out to be a demon disguised as part of the attraction. Courtney takes orders from Temeluchus, a member of the demon royal family who needs a vessel to interact with the world. Temeluchus tasks Courtney with bringing Barney to him.

However, when Pugsley realizes what’s happening, he jumps in front of Barney and gets possessed instead of him. The duo then embarks on a mission to save Pugsley from Temeluchus’ possession. They head to an attraction in Camelot Creek, where Norma gets an idea from a Pauline Phoenix film and uses a camera to capture the demon’s soul.

Upon returning to the Haunted House attraction, they give the photograph to Courtney, who is sad but relieved not to take any more orders from Temeluchus. However, they realize that Pugsley still has a bit of Temeluchus inside him, which gives him new abilities and powers.

As they continue to work at Phoenix Parks, Barney and Norma uncover more secrets and mysteries. Will they be able to survive the challenges that lie ahead?
