Story
“Frankenstein’s Cat” is a 2008 animated series commissioned by CBeebies in the UK. It was produced by 4.21 Productions and A Productions. It won the Pulchinella for “Best Children’s Show” at the Cartoons on the Bay festival in 2008 as well as the “Best TV Show” award at the BAF Awards.
The series follows the adventures of one of Doctor Frankenstein’s first experiment: Nine. Nine is a cat created out of nine different other cats, hence its name. Because it was the Doctor’s first creation, Nine tended to get lonely, and asked for friends to play with. The Doctor obliged, and created some very odd creatures that were sometimes too much to handle. There is Fifi the dog, Heidi the hamster and Igora the chicken.
Nine is a hyperactive cat who eventually found a best friend in Lottie, an 8-year-old girl who recently moved to Oddsburg. She is a bit mischievous, but she has a kind heart. She is very intelligent and determined and she’s never intimidated by anything.
“Frankenstein’s Cat” takes you on a wild ride as Nine and Lottie outwit, outrun and outdo the citizens of Oddsburg. Especially Lottie’s rival Pipsquawk and his minions Trevor, Sweeny and Bigtop.

Who are the main characters of Frankenstein's Cat?
Nine: a cat that was created by Dr. Frankenstein and stitched out of 9 other cats. He is very curious and playful and is bullied by his three sisters, creatures that were originally made by the Doctor to give Nine some company.
Lottie: the only girl in Oddsburg, and Nine's best friend. She is 8 years old and wears glasses.
Dr. Frankenstein: a brilliant but mad scientist, who's conducting strange experiments and creating monsters.
Fifi, Heidi and Igora: a dog, hamster and chicken that were also created by Dr. Frankenstein. They are very ugly and vain, and they all bully Nine.
Pipsquawk: he is the spoiled son of the mayor of Oddsburg. He is the leader of a gang and hates girls. He is very jealous of Lottie and constantly bullies her.
Trevor, Sweeny and Bigtop: Pipsquawk's accomplices, the other boys in his gang.
Mr. Crumble: the only teacher in Oddsburg.
Van Halen: he's a monster hunter, a job that has taken quite a toll on him. He lost his left arm, his nose, his left eye and his right leg when trying to catch monsters.
