Magilla Gorilla

“Magilla Gorilla” is an American animated television series that was produced by Hanna-Barbera Productions and first aired on television screens in 1964. The series follows the adventures of a loveable gorilla named Magilla who lives in a pet store and is constantly being bought by customers who can’t resist his charm, only to return him soon after due to his mischievous and destructive behavior.

Magilla, who is voiced by Allan Melvin, is a very kind and friendly gorilla who longs to be loved and have a family. He is often seen wearing a bow tie and a straw hat, and spends most of his time singing and dancing in his cage at the pet store. Magilla’s best friend is the owner of the pet store, Mr. Peebles, who is always trying to find a way to sell Magilla to a good home. Despite his efforts, Magilla always ends up back in the store due to his playful and often destructive nature.

The series features a recurring cast of characters, including Mr. Peebles, who is voiced by Howard Morris, and a young girl named Ogee, who is voiced by Don Messick. Ogee is a frequent visitor to the pet store and often tries to convince her parents to buy Magilla as a pet.
