Story

The Herculoids are the giant pets of the space barbarian family Zandor, Tara and their son Dorno. Laser dragon Zok, space rhinoceros Tundro, rock ape Igoo and the shape-shifting Gloop and his son Gleep help their masters in their fight to keep their planet safe from invading robots, mad scientists and mutants of all sorts. Zandor, Tara and Dorno have many ennemies from space: the Faceless People, the Destroyer Ants, the Raider Apes, the Mutoids, the Arnoids, the Zorbots, the Mekkano mechanical men and the Ogs, a strange form of vegetable life.

Who are the main characters of The Herculoids?

Zorak: A mantis-like alien, he is the Herculoids' archenemy.
Igoo: A rock-like ape creature, he is strong and loyal.
Gloop and Gleep: They are protoplasmic creatures. They protect The Herculoids by absorbing and deflecting blasts and laser beams. They can shape-shift.
Tundro: A space rhinoceros, he can schoot energy rocks from his horn. He can extend his legs and has an extremely strong skin.
Zok: A flying dragon-like laser-spouting creature, he is courageous and protective.
Dorno: He is the son of Zandor and Tara. He calls them by their first name, and not "Father" and "Mother".
Tara: She is another human of The Herculoids, and she is Zandor's wife.
King Zalon: The ruler of the Herculoids' planet, he is brave and heroic.
Zarn: A villainous alien, he is power-hungry and ruthless.
Zandor: He is one of the three humans of The Herculoids. He is their leader and the protector of Amzot, later renamed Quasar.
