Story

Welcome to the Harbour district: a place filled with bustling activity and cosmopolitan flair. But its dark, shadow-filled alleyways are not always safe for the area’s rat and mice residents. They are relentlessly chased by cats and exterminators, swept away with the stinky garbage, driven from their homes by construction dangers, and stomping, oblivious humans. Every new day is filled with danger and hardship and is a fight for survival. But the flame of hope still burns thanks to the district’s courageous protectors – The Mucleteers!

The Muscleteers stage their rip-roaring rescues from the safety of their cosy but top-secret base in the cellar of Mrs. Frohlich’s delicatessen business, where they can be called for help via a hidden emergency call system. But the Muscleteers’ magnificent missions always interfere with the plans of the clan of rats that rule the harbour district’s vermin underworld. Rattila, the “Godfather”, demands protection money, food, and anything else he can squeeze out of the frightened residents.
Rattila – a gangster? Naaah! But how can he guarantee the security of his beloved citizens without collecting taxes? His arrogant son Bratterick abuses his father’s trust and uses his underling’s fear for his own greedy ends. He is the real enemy and his unscrupulous machinations spell bad news for the rodents of the harbour district. Luckily, wherever there’s a creature in need, the Muscleteers will be there. One for all and all for one!

Who are the main characters of The Muscleteers?

Picandou: he's a shy and faint-hearted mouse, who's a total couch potato. But when others are in need of help, he tries to overcome his fear of heights and the outside world. He doesn't like taking risks, like telling Josephine how he really feels about her...
Bertram: he's the mouse who formed the Muscleteers, after hearing a radio play of The Three Musketeers when he was little. He's dramatic, romantic and arrogant and likes to be in the spotlight.
Josephine: she's a former lab rat, which gave her invaluable scientific knowledge and a good sense of direction. She is smart and curious, thoughtful and empathetic. Her nickname is Jo.
Pomme de Terre: he is a street-smart, over-confident and rough little mouse. He's very brave, but lacks planning skills, which often gets him into trouble.
The Citizens: a mixed community of rats and mice, who live in the harbor district.
Rattila: he's the lord of the rats, the villainous ruler of the vermin underworld of the harbor district.
Bratterick: he's Rattila's spoiled son, and acts as his right-hand. But he's even more vicious then his father, and plays his parents off against each other. He's got two henchrats doing the dirty work for him, Ramona and Roger.
Rattelique: she's Rattila's daughter. She's treated like a princess, but isn't allowed to leave the house. She's spoiled and selfish.
Ratoinette: Ratilla's wife, a pretentious mouse who thinks she's better than all the others.
