Story

The American animated series “Tripping the Rift” is an adult CGI science fiction comedy television show that parodies various science fiction classics like Star Trek, Star Wars, and Battlestar Galactica. The series is set in a universe divided between two superpowers, the Confederation and the Dark Clown Empire, each with its own flaws and oppressive systems. The show follows the adventures of characters navigating this politically charged and satirical space setting. “Tripping the Rift” originally aired on the Sci Fi Channel in the United States and Space in Canada, with subsequent broadcasts in other countries like the United Kingdom, Australia, Latin America, Russia, Germany, and more.

Who are the main characters of Tripping the Rift?

Chode McBlob: the protagonist, a purple, multi-eyed alien smuggler who is often self-centered, crude, and sarcastic.
Six of One: Chode's attractive and intelligent android companion who is often the voice of reason among the crew.
T'Nuk Layor: a female alien crew member who is tough, tomboyish, and often seen as the more aggressive counterpart to Six of One.
Whip: a humanoid who serves as the ship's pilot and is known for his laid-back and easy-going personality.
Gus: a robot on the ship who is known for his barely-hidden queerness and is often mocked by others for it.
Darph Bobo: the main antagonist, a powerful and evil clown who is constantly trying to defeat Chode and his crew.
Spaceship Bob: the ship itself, which is sentient and has its own personality, often interacting with the crew.
